regional dictionary

So I’m a dork, yes.  Proof of this is the fact that I am in charge of my suite’s Word of the Day (of which I’ve been completely slacking in).  I use the formal English dictionary for my words, but if you’re into colloquial phrases or regional dialect, then here’s the dictionary for you:   Dictionary of American Regional English.  It is being put together by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  The article, which is linked, describes it as “quirky.”  I think its sweet.

Now that my inner nerdiness has been revealed, I’m going to get ready for Creighton’s basketball game tonight and indulge my inner athlete, which doesn’t get to play nearly as much as the inner nerd. 😀
